See Kate Run

Will, Kate and Harry stepped…uh, more like ran…out Sunday morning for a London Marathon training session with their partners at Heads Together. ICYMI: Heads Together is an organization that is trying to eliminate the stigma attached to mental illness and it is a cause that is very close to the royal trio’s hearts.

Here’s an excerpt from the Heads Together website:

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry are spearheading the Heads Together campaign to end stigma around mental health. Heads Together aims to change the national conversation on mental health and wellbeing, and is a partnership with inspiring charities with decades of experience in tackling stigma, raising awareness, and providing vital help for people with mental health challenges.”

Mental illness has been a key issue that the Duchess has been speaking out on in recent years, making speeches, visiting various organizations and penning letters to the media about how important it is to create awareness and provide help for those coping with it.

Heads Together has decided to make the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon the springboard for it’s campaign.

“Being the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon Charity of the Year is the perfect springboard for the Heads Together campaign. We cannot wait to see hundreds of runners hitting the streets of London in April to end the stigma and change the conversation on mental health once and for all.”

To see more on this great organization, visit their website here. Also, Will, Kate and Harry attended an event last month to promote this organization. See here for my post on that event.

Today’s event was very relaxed and informal, which means casual Kate made an appearance…and we all love casual Kate. Casual Kate makes us think of her not just as the Duchess of Cambridge, but as a wife and mother who is just like us, apart from the 18 carat sapphire on her ring finger 😉

Anytime the royal trio is out and about, maximum cuteness is sure to ensue. And that it did. Will, Kate and Harry chatted with members of the organization and those who are running in the marathon. They also observed some of the training that the runners go through to prepare for the big event.

But the royals didn’t just stand on the sideline. They got in on some of the action. Perhaps the main event of the day was when Will, Kate and Harry participated in a relay practice. The three lined up and took off against each other at the end of the countdown. And it provided for some pretty great pictures.

And here’s some video footage because we all need to see it:

Harry pulled out ahead and beat Wills and Kate to the finish line. But he’s been trained by Usain Bolt so…that’s to be expected.

Kate wore black jeans, trainers (tennis shoes), and a black turtleneck with a red puffer ski jacket from Perfect Moment. This outfit was so sporty chic.

Here are more pics from the day:
